well i just bought the Cool it liquid cooling system for my pc for 180 its great. Everything is already put together but i f you dont have that much this is a good air cooled heat sink with artic silver 5 thermal paste
should keep you temps low, i have already owned this i like how it handle my temps and also it looks cool in the case if you have a side window. Very quite
You can do some decent over clocking with this heat sink
Thermalright Ultra 120 or Sunbeam Tuniq are the best air coolers. The Zalman you listed is mediocre at best.

Stomps the Zalman and is $20 cheaper. The Zalman is overpriced and even more overrated........
If you guys are going to suggest something, atleast look into other options that are cheaper and better. No such thing as a mediocre unit for the beginner when he can get nearly the best cooler out for much less. Tuniq, Ultra and may other coolers atleast have a deteachable fan so that when the fan quits, you don't need to toss it out. The Zalman is a poor choice at best.

Perhaps when expressing your (obviously highly self valued) opinions you may like to include some fact to show the basis for said opinions. Over 3.5GHz the U120e pulls away from the Zalman as does the Tuniq Tower but that's hardly stomping.
You may also wish to reread the op, there was no mention of budget so your better for cheaper scores no points and when did the Zalman fan become unremovable??? it is retained by four screws. Here's a couple of pictures for you. Note that these do not differentiate between CNPS 9700 and 9700NT except for the final pic which states LED.
@ OP, the source links I have posted will take you to the reviews of the U120e
While I have to admit I was missing the fact you were stating the 9700 and not the 9500 (which the 9500 is mediocre), the fact that the Zalman is easily $20 more expensive than the Tuniq, and in Canada I can get the Ultra for $45, they both handily outperform either Zalman. If a high CFM fan is used on the Ultra, the temp difference is even higher.
Next time you feel like answering like a smartass Mr Aztec_elite, think twice about it. Do not flame me or any other member. There is no need for it and next time you will receive a warning for it. I did not attack you personally or flame you. Do that kind of garbage in a PM if you feel it is needed.
No matter what, the Zalman is very overpriced and can be easily outperformed by a much cheaper unit. Period.

PS: My Noctua NU-9F (which is $40) can perform as well as your Zalman. Keeps my Quad under 60C @ 3.2GHz with 1.4V Vcore and that is with a silent fan.

1.4??? is that bios or load? how much vdroop do you get??
Vdroop is all over the place with this board. I set it to 1.4V in bios, droops to 1.36-1.38 in Windows under load, 1.4V or so idle.
