  • gradual rpm increase

I have this tt dargonorb 3 #1135, and when i got it the rpm's were around 7200. They have gradually increased in speed, and now its just under 7800. The sound seems a bit louder now too.
    This is normal right?
(it is loud enough to begin with, but sound is not an issue)
I noted the +-10% on the speed before buying it and the increase sounds about right.
I would think that this increase may make it cool a bit better y/n?

Im very impressed with its cooling. Ive just never seen a fan increase that much, but i guess its relatave.

maybe the PSU is going
that would cause the voltage to change.

I got it 28 days ago.
Well, I did an experement. I partially restricted the fan with my hand for 30 seconds. Mobo monitor noted an instant 1800 rpm increase in fan speed. A false reading anyway. So i got to thinking that a month worth of dust and cat hair could have made the percieved increase I was noticing. So took the cap off and cleaned it completely (there was barely any dirt in it) and the speed is back to 7100 rpm again and the temp dropped by 3c to where it was after the breakin of the asc.
I dont think it actually increased. It just thought it did from the obstruction creating more current draw.
This thing sounds like a vacuum cleaner and when u put your hand over it , the same resulting noise.

What a touchy device compared to other hs/f.
