just a quick question....
I have a mini-backlight (about the size of a CC tube) that is ment to go into a car. It has a detachable DC car adapter and runs on 12V 5W. Is there any reason why I can't cut the cable and solder it to a 3-4 pin adapter (like the one below) and plug it into my psu?
btw, fans use 12V and less than 2W...but I can't think of a reason why the 3-4 pin adapter couldn't carry an additional 3 W
this would also mean a jump from 0.13A to 0.33A
