  • Fan control under Linux

The XPC tool which allows fine grained fan control is only available for Windows, but I use Linux for my SG33G5. Could Shuttle bring our a Linux version or enable the bios to control the fan with more options than now (now you can only change from smart to low to medium to high, but not e.g. determine smartfan settings in detail)? I would really appreciate that and I know of other Shuttle users who run Linux.

I think the fan controls will be put back into the BIOS, that way
      it'd solve the problem.

That would be nice since there do not seem to be any Linux Utilities that allow for easy fan control and the current controls that are available in the bios for fan control are not very configurable auto/smart or low medium high. Thats a pretty crude control no real fine tuning available currently just the preset speed.

Please let us know ASAP when that is the case, I can't wait for it! Would it happen to a bios update?
