Shuttle SS31T Support

I just purchased a Shuttle SS31T from directron....

I look on shuttle website, they dont show support for the E2140 only the E2160 Intel Pentium Dual-Core, i contact directron they say it is supported...and give me the excuse of "any motherboard supporting pentium-d supports that processor" ....what a crock...anywho, can someone please let me know if the system will work with the E2140 (even if it runs overclocked i dont care.....)

Hey extenz,

Here you will be able to find the CPU support list for the SS31T,

E2160 is almong the supported CPU, E2140 should work, but to
be on the safe side E2160 has been tested and will definitely work.

thx eric, Yeah im aware the 2160 is supported (after i ordered and processed everything) i got my hopes up for the 2140, its in route, expected to get it in 2 days......

dont spose theres a chance that if it doesnt, you could get someone to write up a bios with the microcode to support it? lol

hey extenz,
I doubt there would be a need for that, it'll most likely work
its just not listed on the support page as it hasn't being tested,
but it's being tested as we speak and should be listed very soon.
lol, and no i probably would not be able to get them to write the
bios support, but in case it does fail, im sure i can try :p
