  • Cannot upgrade to FW1916 for 64GB RunCore Pro IV SATA 1.8" in HP 2530P

I get a 64GB RunCore Pro IV SATA 1.8" and put it in HP Elitebook 2530P. I found the the firmware inside is version 0.1 and I want to upgrade to the most updated one 1916.

I set the drive to IDE mode in BIOS, then boot up with a DOS CD. I can access the partitions (of course, FAT32 partitions only) in side the DOS. However, during I run the IM6416.exe, message "Not found any drive" is shown and I cannot continue.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Beside, I found, in Crystal Disk Info, TRIM is supported in my SSD already, can somebody confrim me TRIM is supported in Windows 7 already?

Is there any tools like the wiper.exe for my SSD?

    Thank you!

    OS: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

Same here, same SSD, same part number, same EliteBook. I want to update to 1916 for the Garbage Collection.

For some SSDs with different flash vendors, it needs to be updated to firmware 1819 before updating to 1916.
By the way, we do provide the wiper.exe and please send an email to [email protected] if you need it.
