HP Mini 1153nr (hp mini 1000)

I was able to clone the original 16gb drive to the USB 16gb Runcore zif drive.

The drive is not recognized by the MB or by windows 7 installation disk.

Is there a driver that needs to be loaded in order for windows 7 to see the drive?

Also, the original cable with the computer does not allow the drive to fit. it is offset a bit.

There is no need a driver. I think the SSD is fine, but the connection with HP maybe have some problem.
You must conect the 1 st pin of SSD to the 1st pin of the ZIF interface of HP mini, and the cable should be fit well.

It does not work.
Sorry, I tried every option mentioned here and in other areas of the forum.
It does not work with the hp provided cable at all.
