  • EeePC 901 + RCP-IV-S7064-C + reinstall = poor battery performance

I recently purchased a new pro iv for my gf's eeepc and she's been complaining about a marked decrease in battery performance.

Only things I've done to the machine:

    1. updated to newest supported bios for machine
    2. new runcore is primary slave, original 4gb ssd is secondary master. (this appeared to happen automatically upon installation of the runcore)
    3. usb cdrom drive and reloaded OS.
    4. swapped default program files back to c:
    5. brought OS to current updates.

Thats really all I've done to the system. Can't imagine what would be different. Anyone else do this and find some settings were not the same which caused battery issues? I've been under the impression that the runcore was supposed to have better power performance than the stock 8gig ssd.

From the Spec, ProIV SSD's power consumption is half of the HDD, but about 2times than the original one.
As we all know, SSD's power domsuption is very less compare to other component of the eeePC.
What about the time you can use before and after using SSD? I donot think it's because of SSD.
