  • Upgrading Asus EEEPC 900 to 32g SSD

I am trying to upgrade my ASUS EEEPC 900's 16g SSD to a RunCore 32g SSD (RCP-I_S7032-C). I am using Acronis as my imaging software.

My problem is while the ASUS Bios can "see" the 32g SSD it will not boot off of it.

The BIOS shows the 32G SSD as a drive to select in the boot priorty it does not show it available in the Master/Slave section of the BIOS. When installed the 16G SSD does show up as Master.

I also used the ASUS Recovery CD to load the RunCore 32g SSD and the ASUS won't boot from the RunCore either.

What could be the possible problems and how can I correct the problem(s).

hi, chero, this Runcore ssd is a sata drive, and sata signal has no definition for master/slave, only a sata master.
maybe it is good for you to update bios to the latest version 1006, and you can see it as a sata master.
