I am looking to buy the "Z790 AORUS ELITE X WIFI7 (ver 1.1)" motherboard. This motherboard has the M2A_CPU PCIe4 SSD slot.
I am also looking to buy the Western Digital BLACK SN850X NVMe SSD (PCIe 4) 2TB drive. This 2TB SSD drive comes in 2 options.
Option A) SN850X without heatsink (i.e. part # WDS200T2X0E)
Option B) SN850X with heatsink (i.e. part # WDS200T2XHE)
On the motherboard, the M2A_CPU PCIe4 SSD slot comes supplied with a Gigabyte heatsink. Does anyone have experience whether this means that only the "SN850X without heatsink" can be used in this slot if intending to use the original Gigabyte heatsink?
