  • Samsung M.2 PCIe 4x4...

Hello, first time poster, be gentle please...

I've just built a new system with the following specs:
    • Motherboard: Gigabyte Z690 Gaming X DDR4 LGA 1700 Intel Z690 ATX Motherboard with DDR4 (REV 1.0)
    • CPU: Intel Core i5-12600K
    • Memory: Trident Z Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 3200
    • Drives: 2 X Samsung 980 PRO M.2 2280 1TB PCI-Express Gen 4.0 x4
    • Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 650W 80+ Gold
    • Case: Fractal Define 7, Black, Silant Mid Tower ATX
There are no SATA drives and PCIe video card intalled in the system.

The system runs Windows 10 just fine, but having an issue with the second 980 Pro drive, that shows up as Gen 3.0 x4::

Testing the performance for both 980 Pro M.2 drives confirms, that the second drive does operatee at Gen 3.0 x4 speed. All Gigabyte device drivers are upto date. The Z690 Gaming X MB does support four Gen4 x4 M.2 drive, but for some reason, it does not show up as such in my system.

I am probably doing something wrong , but couldn't figure out the source of this issue. Any help would be appreciated,,,

    TIA...
Working...
