GA X79 UP4 rev 1.0 not booting with ivy bridge e xeon

I don't see why my e5 1650 v2 won't boot as 4930k/4960x works fine, and apprently v2 xeons work on rev 1.1. Is it possible that rev 1.0's bios chip doesn't have enough space for the v2s? Can someone help me remove the microcodes for quad cores and replace them with ivybridge e?
