Hi guys!
I'd like to upgrade my current CPU with a Xeon one, preferably E5-2690v2. The official support list for Xeon CPUs is a bit outdated and limited, so I was wondering if a CPU that theoretically should work with my mobo (LGA2011-0 and all) will be fine, even though it's not listed (or somehow listed as non-supported). Am I right or is it my wishful thinking?
Sooo, will my X79 UP-4 rev1.0 work with E5-2690v2? 2680v2 is here but supposedly not supported (why?). What about an older E5-2690? It's not listed either but a slower 2680 is and seems supported. I don't quite get the compatibility list...
Thank you!
