  • XMP Profile Help

I've been lurking for quite a while for the GB BIOS files but now have a problem of my own that I am hoping someone here can help with.

I've recently bought some new RAM for my X99-UD5 WIFI which is capable of 2800MHz @ 1.35v (specifically CMK32GX4M4B2800C14). When running with no XMP profile, the system is stable with the RAM at 2133MHz. When I try to enable the XMP profile without doing anything else, the system won't boot (presumably because enabling it without doing anything else whacks the CPU up to about 4.5GHz which it doesn't have the volts to handle). CPU is an i7-5930k.

What I have tried is the following:
    - Enabling the XMP so it does the voltage and timings, then changing the CPU clock settings so it's back at defaults (100MHz etc.), and then changing the memory multiplier so it's running at 2750MHz (best I can do without messing with anything else). This allows the system to boot but it's unstable and will freeze up at some point (this happens with or without turbo boost enabled).
    - Manually inputting the timings and voltages for the DRAM sticks, and using the memory multiplier to go to 2750MHz, but there's a *lot* more options in the DRAM timing section than I can find for the sticks so I don't know if I have everything set correctly. Again, the system is unstable and will freeze.

Sometimes with either of those options, it will be able to run a RealBench run before freezing but sometimes it doesn't even get that far. What am I doing wrong? Everything else is "Auto" and I am doing no CPU overclocking.

Any help would be much appreciated.
