I have a system with the following specs:
Gigabyte P55-UD2 mATX mobo
Intel i7 860
32GB crucial ram
Nvidia 560 ti GPU
I recently bought an EVGA GTX 960 4GB SC on sale so I could use this as a 4k playback machine. Upon installing the graphics card the system boots EXTREMELY slowly (either into my current win7 install or a fresh linux boot disk) and CPU useage sits idle anywhere from 30% to 50% (it constantly spikes)
I tried everything from:
Fresh install
Driver cleaner + latest drivers
Safe mode
Clean Linux boot
Updating board to latest bios
etc
Is there a hardware compatibility between my legacy bios board (non UEFI) and these newer video cards?
