  • Gigabyte Z170X-UD5 - G.Skill Memory Won't Boot Using XMP Profile

Not sure what's going on here, but here goes...

Built a new rig using the aforementioned mobo and an i7 6700k, however I'm having zero luck getting any sets of G.Skill memory to boot using the XMP Profile. To date, I've tried the following:

    G.Skill TridentZ DDR4-3200 (F4-3200C16D-16GTZB)
    - Boots at default speed (2133MHz)
    - Doesn't boot at standard XMP Profile

    - Returning it because it didn't work using XMP

    G.Skill Ripjaws V Series DDR-3000 (F4-3000C15D-16GVR)
    - Just ordered this because it is specifically a QVL for my motherboard (http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-3000c15d-16gvr)
    - Boots at default speed (2133MHz)
    - Doesn't boot at standard XMP Profile (3000MHz @ 1.35v)

From what I understand, I should be able to just switch the Memory Profile to "Profile 1" (which is the only one) for XMP in the BIOS and it should work. When I change it to the XMP "Profile 1", it shows that it will then be running at 3000MHz @ 1.35v. So, I do that under the "Advanced Memory" section, save, reboot, and it fails to boot. No idea where to go from here.

    Any ideas?
