X99M-Gaming 5 will not enter BIOS with 2TB SHDD installed (ST2000DX001).

Hi, cannot enter the BIOS with these 2TB HDD's plugged in, just get a black screen.

If I unplug the HDD's I can enter BIOS fine. Had this same issue with GA-X99-UD4 a later BIOS revision fixed the issue.

Is there any chance of a BIOS fix for X99M-Gaming 5 mobo?

Would be very much appreciated !

did you try with usb legacy devices disabled and hotswap enabled?

Hey, yeah I had it working. After resetting to default and only adjusting fan speeds. It was enterting BIOS with SHDD's installed.

I disabled USB legacy and enabled Hotswap on the drives, but now it won't enter BIOS with drives plugged in again lol.

Even if I reset BIOS to default, still can't enter BIOS without unplugging the drives. Makes it a pita if you want to edit something lol, have to take case door off unplug both drives, enter BIOS. Then after plug back in put door back on put case back..

I had this issue with GA-X99-UD4, a later BIOS update fixed the issue. Hoping Gigabyte can release an updated BIOS for this mobo as well. Pretty please.

Think I may have fixed it !

Seems to be an issue with the mobo not wanting to boot with more than one MBR Hard Drive, I've changed my 2 x SHDD's to GPT and so far booting into BIOS ok (Hope this doesn't jinx it :p).
