  • Gigabyte gtx 980 g1 gaming questions on low frames rate??

    Hello

I have a Gigabyte gtx 980 g1 gaming for a week , and in the first days everything was fine, but 2 days ago, I install APP center a program from gigabyte and he updated my motetherboard bios(GA-z87p-D3) and install or updated other drivers. Since that day I have the feeling that my card is not working 100%., I already unistall app center and nvidia drivers but it is the same

If somenone has the same card or similiar, can you confirm the follow:

Dragon age inquisition all full benchmark : avg 48, min 36 , and while playing it can be around 40,50 , but never 60 fix, in skyhold outside he his in 50s.

Dying Light all full : walking ouside with 0 ou very fewe zombies around 50 60,with alot of zombies, maybe 15 or 30 zombies, the frame rate lowes to around 29,35.

the wicher 2 all full, even the ubersampling: around 40,50, sometimes it hits the 60s but never stay long.

Is this normal or with this card can I have more frames? Is this in my head only and everything is ok ????

    My full spects.

    I5-4670 3,4ghz
    16gb memory
my windows is in a ssd disk and my games are in another ssd disk
    motherboard :GA-z87p-D3
    Gigabyte gtx 980 g1
    and a PSU of 700w

    Welcome to the forum.

If your bios was updated, you have probably "lost" all of your previous custom bios settings.

After you have flashed your bios you need to reboot your system and immediately go into the bios and select Load Optimized Defaults and then make any other changes that you used previously.

We need detailed information about ALL OF THE HARDWARE in your system.

We can best help you after you create a detailed hardware list in the System Specs
portion of your forum profile at the bottom of the profile page or in your forum signature.
Be sure to include brand names and model numbers.
When you are done editing or creating your hardware list, save the settings.

Take a look at my PC Specs and you will see how much detail that I've provided for my system.

Glad to hear that your system is fixed.

To help others that might have similar problems, what bios settings did you change?
          • Loading Optimized Bios Defaults only?
          • Did you need to change any other bios settings? If yes, which ones?

            Important:

You can use [F12] to capture the current UEFI screen as an image and save it to your USB drive.

You should save a screen image for each UEFI screen that has changed settings.

I also keep a hard copy of all of my bios settings, just in case I need to refer to them in the future.
