  • G1.Sniper Z87 Bios Questions

After flashing with @bios, do i have to enter in bios to 'load optimized default' or @bios make this without my intervention? On the screen of the program i see checked ''load cmos default after bios update''. This is the same, like load optimized default? I'm little paranoiac, when update the new z87x/g1.sniper mobo.

Have to check box ''clear dmi pool data''?

After ''load cmos default after bios update'' ,you can enter in BIOS 'load optimized default'.
''clear dmi pool data'' is only need if you add some new hardware (CPU,VGA ,HDD/SDD...etc).

Everything works, i do not update for now. I updated, because was worried for one thing. When i run xmp profile, memory run 1.668, instead 1.65, according bios and aida64. Is this normal? When run memory 1.5, bios shows 1.524. After update is the same. I'm asked in other forum, but more opinios is better.

Mobo is g1.sniper z87 (f2 bios), memory - geil evo potenza cl9 1866 working voltage 1.65 for xmp profile.

Why after bios flash and restart, have to press ''delete'' and load optimizied default? After updating bios, my pc auto restart, i heard the usual one beep, after 10 secound, i think, pc restart again, one beep and i login to my win account. After first or second restart is suppose to press delete key? And this interruption not break bios update?

No need..as newest BIOS (AMI) already boot in "Default" setting.

Are you sure? The answer from Gigabyte:

              Answer: Dear papabear1,
We suggest you to update the BIOS to version F3 from the product page and load optimized defaults. If the problem remains with other memory sticks, it is abnormal that the voltage is changed automatically. We will suggest you to contact your supplier to examine the whole system directly. Thank you for your cooperation.
              Regards,

              I updated bios from f2 to f3. When set voltages 1.5/1.65, aida64/bios shows 1.524/1.668.

p.p when change windows power options from 'balanced' to 'power saver', aida shows DIMM - 1.536.

                Re: G1.Sniper Z87 Bios Questions

I moved your posts and the replies to a new thread.
Your questions don't belong in the BIOS Flashing - A "How To ~ Qflash Guide" which deals with older Gigabyte Award bios systems.

We can best help you after you create a detailed hardware list in the System Specs
portion of your forum profile at the bottom of the profile page or in your forum signature.
Be sure to include brand names and model numbers.
When you are done editing or creating your hardware list, save the settings.

What is the dfferences, if my video card was 7950, not r9 290. What change this? Is this normal voltages/behavior for gigabyte mobos or not?

                  Another ''normal'' behavior

I think that the Cpu-z Bus Speed setting is "normal".

A web search using: 7950 vs r9 290 should help answer your graphics card question.
