Haswell has nice IMC, eh? No problems getting your 2800 RAM to work?

Since we now know these are binned Haswell's with some extra goodies on the pcb I was a little disappointed, but I still plan to get a 4790K in a few weeks. I hope I get one at least as good or better than my 4770K.

Nice one Stasio gotta love Devils Canyon... similar volts to mine at 5.0Ghz though your memory is clocked 400Mhz higher....

I would email gigabyte and see what they can do

it has to be a bios issue that needs fixing (if they can fix it) I think it was the same story on z87

Wazza that board has only 6 sata ports....I don't think they put any Marvell ports on this board.

only intel sata 6 port have gigabyte z97 gaming 5

any third party sata ports on that board? if they are all intel then I would email gigabyte and tell them the issue (they need to sort it out with a bios fix)

if you have any marvell or asmedia sata ports id try the ocz ssd on those as they should be ok

Wazza that board has only 6 sata ports....I don't think they put any Marvell ports on this board.

yes i tried first f3> F5 bios nothing change same story !!!

now i have a sata 2 mechanical disk all is good

something in bios stop the drives same story with my z87 mobo but with a beta bios i think F6 solve the problem
my big big big problem i have 3 drives vertex2

please help somebody !!

Only two things I can see....flash newer firmware on Vertex and/or contact Gigabyte.

I see there is a BIOS F5 final available for your board....have you tried it?
Don't forget to load optimized defaults after flashing the new BIOS.

hello guys!!!
Today i got a z97 x gaming 5 and i have a problem with drive vertex 2(i changed the f3 bios with beta 5b without any changes
The mobo loses sata and recovers them every time
The same had happened to me z87 d3h but i put a beta bios and the problem was solved
If anyone could help me with bios i would appreciate it.Thanks.
