Brand new Gigabyte GA-H77N-WIFI Not recognizing GPU

I have had a whale of a time trying to figure this out. I have a GA-H77N-WIFI, Intel i3-2120, Silverstone Strider Gold 550w PSU, and a Sapphire 2GB OC 7850. The GPU is not detected by the motherboard at all. I also have tried an ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe/WD motherboard and the GPU wasn't detected on there either, but it is detected by every ATX motherboard I have. It is not the PSU/RAM because I have swapped out both with known working ones and they were fine. So what could be wrong? I've set the default graphics to PCI, updated BIOS, and cleared CMOS. I also have reinstalled my operating system. I also have tried messing with the PCI lane speeds but nothing has helped!

This computer was going to be a present for my fiance, but I'm running out of ideas here. I don't have another GPU to test on unfortunately, but why would it work perfect in one system but not another?

are you running latest motherboard bios? id update that first then try the gpu

use onboard igpu graphics to flash with

Sorry I forgot to mention, the device isn't even shown in device manager. Also, I have flashed the most recent BIOS already.

Maybe the Mini-ITX case you're using is the culprit and not allowing the graphics card to sit properly in the slot. I say this because you mentioned that it's not being detected in the other itx motherboard you have. Do a visual check and as a last resort maybe try it in the motherboard outside of the case.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried it out of the case before. Sorry, I've tried that already. I forgot what all I've done haha

So I take it the igpu is working fine?
What I have done before to get a card recognized is booting to the BIOS & hot plugging the hdmi cable into the card then rebooting. My last few Gigabyte boards I've had to take a few steps to get the gpu's recognized....if I futz around with it a while sooner or later it works. I know it sounds bad but I'm just used to it , I guess. It's easy for me because I use an HDMI switch......

Thanks for the suggestions, I ended up ordering a new card as nothing yet has remedied it. I really don't think it's the motherboard's fault, just something wonky with the GPU. I'll update the thread when I get it. (Should be Sat.)
