Computer was working fine yesterday.
There was a power cut yesterday so i shut down the computer and turn off the ups.
When power came back i turn on the pc and it goes into infinite restarting.
It stays on for about just 2 sec and restart again and again.
I cannot even go into bios because it restarts within 2 sec and nothing comes up on the screen not even the Gigabyte Logo.Lately i had been getting Blue screen error.
I dont Remm the Stop Error code.
But i do remmember it was around 4 to 5 stop error that occasionally pop up randomly.
For Fixing blue screen error i formatted my pc .
Did a fresh installation of win 7 64 bit.
But it did not resolve the blue screen error.
Now it just keeps on restarting (Exactly just count 1 2 and it will restart).
Error that i see on gigabyte mobo display is 88. I am not sure thats even a error.
MotherBoard : Gigabyte EX58 UD5
BIOS : Never updated the bios. Using the same bios version that came along with the mobo
RAM : Corsair Vengeance 3 sticks . Each ram 4 Gb 1600 Mhz
Graphic Card : Zotac 460Gts
Processor : i7 920
PSU : 600 Watt Cooler Master
Hard drive :Seagate Barracuda 7200.11(1 TB)
Heat sink on processor - Hyper 212 Evo
No overclocking
Here what i did:
1)Checked power supply with paper holding clip. Its working fine. Fan is spinning continuously
2) The only things which are connected is GPU,CPU,1 ram in white slot (although tried other 5 slots as well ) .
Also tried attaching and removing hard drive.
Attached another hard drive to see if its the hard drive which causing the problem. But problem persist
Took out the graphic card cleaned it and put it back.
Cleaned the RAM put it back
Used air blower to clean the dust.
Tried all 3 Ram that i have in all the slots available.
Tried to turn on computer with just cpu connected (Not even Ram) .I get the same behaviour. It does not matter even if i connect the Gpu ,hard drive, ram or not i get the same behaviour.
3)Tried to clear Cmos by holding the clear cmos button for about more than 1 min then did the same with the power button .Took out cell .Waited for 30 Min .Still the same.
I use my PC for Digital Sculpting so without it i cannot survive
Please any help would be appreciated.
One more thing if my mobo is Bricked which brand would you would suggest to buy a new mobo for a long life may be around 6-7 year
