GB ga z87x ud5h - Logitech Harmony Remote control.

Since i have my z87x ud5 I'm unable to update my Logitech Harmony 900 via any usb ports.

On some ports I get "remote control usb lanlink" but the remote does not further communicate with windows.

Normally once the device has been recognised the display of the Harmony changes and the usb fork
logo appeaers.

Had no problems with my z77xup5 th, fortunately I was able to update the remote on a laptop with
usb 2.0.

So is this problem related to the various usb 3.0 issues? Did a clean Windows install just to be sure
but that did not help.

could be or a bios bug

did you try in the usb2 ports if you have them? could you not download the drivers for the remote to a usb stick and search for them manually in device manager?

can also right click it and try compatibility mode

I also tried to update the Harmony on a different pc same problem.

I think a recent windows 8 update might be causing this problem and
or a change in the firmware of the harmony?
