  • Problem with keyboard on reboot

I am having trouble when I am doing a reboot from any of my installed OS's (win 8, win 7 and fedora 19).
The problem is that the keyboard is not initialized and I can neither enter bios setup nor control my boot selection screen (using EasyBCD to make my boot list)

If I press the reset button on the pc then the keyboard is initialized correctly.

Anyone have a suggestion on how to solve it?

    Using this bios

Guess it can be a bios setting somewhere.. But which one(s).

Re: Problem with keyboard on reboot

Specifications for your Z77X-UD5H (1.0) motherboard:
    Code:
Chipset: [LIST=1][*]Up to 2 USB 3.0/2.0 ports (available through the internal USB headers)[*]Up to [B][COLOR="#0000FF"]6 USB 2.0/1.1 ports [/COLOR][/B]([B][COLOR="#0000FF"]2 ports on the back panel[/COLOR][/B], 4 ports available through the internal USB headers)[/LIST]
Chipset + 2 VIA USB Hubs:
Up to 8 USB 3.0/2.0 ports ([B][COLOR="#0000FF"]4 ports on the back panel[/COLOR][/B], 4 ports available through the internal USB headers)[LIST][*]In Windows XP, the Intel USB 3.0 ports and VIA USB HUB can support up to USB 2.0 transfer speed.[*]Due to a Windows 7 limitation, please connect your USB device(s) to the USB 2.0/1.1 port(s) before the Intel USB 3.0 controller driver is installed.[/LIST]
The problem might be with the VIA usb 3.0 hub drivers not being initialized.
Try connecting your keyboard to one of the Intel chipset's usb 2.0/1.1 (only) connectors to see if this will fix your problem.

It looks like the two red usb ports on the rear panel are the Intel usb 2.0/1.1 ports.

Actually I had it connected in one of the red ports... Now I moved it to a usb 3 port and that seems to work.. Weird but it works... thanks for the suggestion :)
