it will work but you need to spend time to tweak it regarding voltages even then the cpu imc might not be able to handle 32gb @2400mhz

I know what your saying it should work but those speeds are high and also the capacity which nearly always affects stability im afraid

Re: Ga-z87x-ud3h & 32gb f3-2400c10q-32gtx

Today I notice that there are new drivers available for chipset, LAN and SATA. Will those -in particular- the chipset drivers be of any help in regards to memory?

Also, the bios seems to be stuck at version 8e for some time now.

FWIW, I ve managed to get stability by lowering frequency to 1600 mhz but with lower timings than before. I do get graphical artifacts like image breaks after a few days though.

@GM, what versions for these did you find, particularly chipset and SATA? Wasn't sure there were drivers for SATA except iRST. Just want to verify if their more recent than what I got last month:
-- LAN 18.7, chipset
-- INF currently using 9.4.0.1027 WHQL, as 9.4.4.1006 doesn't seem to be related to Haswell, from what I read.

Yes, I've also been waiting for the final FW 8 to be released. Looks like they stopped on it and might be working on other boards' versions?

I just noticed that their upload date was today, so they seem as recent as they come.

Could it be? Can it be? Is it possible?

I flashed the latest bios version f8h and then changed the memory speed to 2400 mhz with 1.65 voltage. I have enjoyed 32 hours of bug and crash free computing.

Tears of joy are streaming through my cheeks. My long national nightmare seems to be over.

Hopefully, touch on wood and all the rest.

If so, Thanks Gigabyte!

Hi all.

Just a footnote for those searching for answers for problems with this kit:

With 2 sticks I was fully stable at 4.5Ghz 2400 ram using XMP profile 2 but with all 4 sticks used I would get crashes and memtest (dos) errors.

Voltage adjustments and loosening primary timings did not help in my case.

The only thing that DID help was changing the command rate from 1T to 2T (everything else still on XMP defaults).

The result?

Total stability again with 4x 8GB
