Hi all,

Anybody have a motherboard GA-Z87X-OC with a F5P Bios ?

Have you able to use correctly and fine your USB3?

In manual page 20 I see:

When two or more graphics cards are installed, we recommend that you connect the power cable
from the power supply to the OC_PEG connetctor to ensure system stability.

Which cable from PSU, I have to do this connection?
I read page 28 , 2x3 power cable ... So I need used a PCI-E 6pin cable... Right ???

From the motherboard layout in the user manual on page 7, it looks like a 6-pin PCI-e power cable from your power supply will work.

What do you mean by find your usb 3.0?
From the specifications on page 11 in the manual:

USB Chipset:

• - Up to 2 USB 3.0/2.0 ports (available through the internal USB header)
• - Up to 8 USB 2.0/1.1 ports (2 ports on the back panel, 2 ports onboard, 4 ports available through the internal USB headers)

• - Up to 8 USB 3.0/2.0 ports (6 ports on the back panel, 2 ports available through the internal USB header)

Does windows Device Manager have any usb device errors?
Have you loaded Renesas drivers for the usb 3.0 hubs?

So I am waiting for add comments by user members.... about general situation for GA-Z87X-OC and USB issues with bios F5P and now F5q.

No problem Gloup_Gloup,

according to USB3 ,you need Intel and Renesas drivers.
HERE I discuss with Sin about USB3 ports.
As per his explanation all USB3 ports on back panel are under Renesas hub.
Only 2 Intel USB3 ports are under internal USB header F_USB30_2.

My is USB spec.......black (USB2) and blue (USB3).

C'mon Stasio, 'fess up!!
I don't see his watermark in his alleged mobo picture.
Big deal, you duplicated the usb information from post #2 and you can't disguise it by adding black and blue rectangles.
