Ram memory problem

Hello all,
I buy a new ram memory 4GB, Kingstone (KVR13N9S8/4) my old one is Kingstone 4gb (KVR 1333ND3N9/4G)
When i install new one it's say total 8GB and 3.87 usable..

I have I3 3.20, Nvidia GTX 550TI, Gigabyte motherboard H55M-D2H...

If someone know how to fix this help :)

do you have a 32bit windows version? to use the full 8gb you'll need a 64bit version of windows

32bit can make use of 3.5gb maximum memory

Using two different memory kits often causes problems.
Try setting your memory speed to run at a lower speed.
You might also need to tweak your memory voltages.
Have you recently removed your cpu from the motherboard socket.

We need detailed information about ALL OF THE HARDWARE in your system.
H55M-D2H Motherboard - Last know Bios updated, Nvida Gtx 550 TI, I3 3.20 Intel,HDD Barracuda 500 GB,Power Sup, Rexpower PX 500

Try setting your memory speed to run at a lower speed.(i will try it can you give me some directions how to do that?)
You might also need to tweak your memory voltages. (ok, i think i know how to do that)
Have you recently removed your cpu from the motherboard socket.( i think yes like 3-4 month ago)

have you also disabled onboard graphics (igpu) in the bios? that reserves a portion of memory

also enable/disable memory remapping if you have the option not sure on gigabyte but its there on asus boards,if its not there don't worry

Check pages 35 and 38 in your motherboard user manual.
You should be able to lower your memory speed by using the System Memory Multiplier (SPD) option where you select a lower multiplier setting.

Please provide links to the Kingston web page for each of your memory modules.
We need to confirm that both memory modules are rated to use the same DRAM voltage and that their settings are similar to each other.

You might need to re-seat your cpu in the motherboard socket, but don't do this right now. Sometimes bent cpu socket pins can lead problems with recognizing all of your installed memory.

See if you can change the System Memory Multiplier in the bios so that your memory speed will be 1200MHz or lower.

Each of your memory modules has a different number of chips.
Your missing memory problem might go away if you are using two identical memory modules.

With your computer turned off and the AC power cable disconnected from the back of your power supply or wall outlet, swap the memory module positions in the motherboard slots and see if this makes a difference.

Found out something new, when i put my new memory alone in case(KVR13N9S8/4),it wont pass bios testing .. its just say memory size :4055040K, but wont load MHz,and pc stay like that for 30 sec then restart and all over again, sometimes when i duo new and old it wont load Windows StartUP.

how much qpi/vtt are you using in bios? might need more idk maybe 1.25v-1.3v

It looks like your newer memory module is defective or is not compatible with your system.
Can you borrow a 2 x 4GB memory kit to test with?

Now when i put 2 of them and turn on my pc it wont load windows startup ...
but in bios it say 8gb, and 1333Mhz..
So do i need to get same model as my old one (KVR1333D3N9_4G) and try 2x that?

It might help, but the best way to go is to buy a matched memory kit where the manufacturer has tested both modules together to ensure that they will be stable at their rated speeds.

Even if you buy a single memory module that has the same part number as your good memory module, the newer module might be made with different chips and might or might not be fully compatible. This is can more of a problem when you have an older motherboard and you try to use newer memory modules that are designed and tested for the current generation of motherboards and processors.

If you want to play it safe, buy a matched memory kit that is listed in the supported memory QVL list for your motherboard or check with the memory manufacturer's tech support to find out which of their kits they have tested with and recommend for your motherboard.

You might be able to RMA both of your memory modules to Kingston where they will replace them with a 2 x 4GB matched kit that will work with your system.

Tomorrow i will go in shop where i buy that new model and ask them can they replace it for model what a atm have and what work for my motherboard :) maybe they will do that for me. If they don't i will be sad :/

And i check on gigabyte web site Memory Support List : and there is no KVR1333D3N9/4G on support list :/ wtf...
