DO NOT BUY Z77-D3H if you intend to run Windows 8 until GIGABYTE acknowledge or fix this weird issue.
Gigabyte tech support have failed to understand the problem and I have given up with them.
Have just purchased and built Z77-D3H motherboard / Intel processor.
All is working fine....... until shutdown.
Once the computer is shutdown THE LAN STOPS WORKING - other computers fail basic ping test. Physically remove network cable from Z77-D3H or remove power cord and LAN OK .
It appears the Z77-D3H / AR8161 is flooding the LAN with noise after shutdown - AR8161 data light flashes and speed light off.
I have spent many hours working on this. Latest drivers for Qualcomm and BIOS from Gigabyte do not help.
All is OK with Win7 (32 or 64 bit)
Always fails with Win8 (32 or 64 bit)
Works fine after installing Win7 then upgrading to Win8.
Gigabyte tech support have failed to understand the problem and I have given up with them.
I am just putting this information where it may be useful to someone.
Again, my suggestion is DO NOT BUY Z77-D3H until GIGABYTE acknowledge or fix issue.
