  • z77x-UP5 Problem w/ monitor @ boot.

    Very strange issue.

Everything at stock--using HD4000 onboard graphics and DVI out....to DVI in on monitor

    monitor does boot.

I hear windows boot but monitor says no signal.

then after a hard reset or two, it finally decides to work.

Very annoying, and want it solved.

    any thoughts?

Yes i double checked just now....

Graphics, ever since I built it and few months ago has always been set to IGFX, 1024, MAX

it is so strange that it wont fire up the monitor....but i think the OS boots..... then after its "warm"? (maybe thats it?) I dont seem to have the trouble..... but Im in Florida and its not all that cold in the morning....

Check to see if your monitor cable is secure at both ends.
Can you test with a different cable and monitor?
Which video output connection are you using to connect to your monitor?
Can you test with an "everyday" wired keyboard and mouse?

          it is....

Im new to UEFI...It's probably some dumb setting there I have not tweaked. BUT the oddest issue is that it does work perfectly once I reset.

          why ?

I can only assume is HAS to be a voltage issue? or a "warm up" issue. but how odd on DVI right?
