Good morning ;)
I today turn to you, because i do think i have an issue with my motherboard or processor.
Resume:
i5-3570k
z77x-d3h
2x4GB Corsair DD3 1600 CAS8
Corsair HX650
Gigabyte GTX660Ti OC
Hyper 212 EVO
I bough this new rig end december, setup to run 4.2 or 4.4 h24.
That was done according to my "internet datamining" ^^
3570k could run 4.4 with ~1.2V max, and hyper 212 could dissipate all this power.
So, here comes my issue: my i5 needs a very high vcore.
x42 needs 1.260v
x44 needs at least 1.38v
It's one week now i daily reset my bios, test different parameters suggested by users on french forums. And result is always the same ... 1.26v for 4.2 and more than 1.38v for 4.4
XMP enabled or not, memory unsynced or not, turbo boost enabled/disabled, all levels of llc are some of them.
note: i use latest f18c beta bios because it's the only one i can run without intel usb issues and bios access. i did all the overclocking voltages tests with F16 and F17, with same results.
Then, here come my little questions, if some of you mind helping me with answers ^^
1. are those voltages "out of" 3570k regular range? i use to see oc'ed 3570k @4.5 using 1.2v or less. @4.2 with 1.1v etc ...
2. if you can confirm i may have an issue, how can i (if possible) know if this is cpu-related or motherboard-related?
3. maybe, any suggestion concerning how intel can accept to RMA the processor?
Thank you for reading me,
Tweakdown users, you're my last hope :)
