  • Gigabyte GTX 660OC F4 UEFI BIOS

I have downloaded this version mainly for that ,,game stable" improvement and i received an error that bios id doesn`t match. After this i updated my f22 version to f23 and tried again with no succes. Am i missing anything ?

btw: i used the vga@bios tool to update and i am using the hynix memory version of the board so no incompatibilty should`ve arised. The motherboard supports uefi features(p67x-ud3-b3, u1b uefi bios) and i have windows 8 installed.

    Any help is appreciated !

Re: Gigabyte GTX 660OC F4 UEFI BIOS

    Please note:
You can only update to a VBIOS version of the same series.
    If your VBIOS version is:
F1, it can only be updated with VBIOS versions F2-F9.
F10, it can only be updated with VBIOS versions F11-F19.
F20, it can only be updated with VBIOS versions F21-F29.
    etc.
if you had F22, you can updated your VBIOS version to F21-F29 only
In your case, F23 is the latest version for you

Re: Gigabyte GTX 660OC F4 UEFI BIOS

I know that but being an uefi bios i think/thought that it would be flashable in a different way.

Besides that both f22/23 and f4 have ,,Release for HYNIX Memory" in their description and we are talking about the same card so i would like maybe, perhaps an official answer on this matter.

GIGABYTE - Graphics Card - NVIDIA - PCI Express Solution - GeForce 600 Series - GV-N660OC-2GD - acording to this there is the f4 and f23 versions for hynix then again the f12 has the samsung memory modules.

Unless Stasio can answer your question, you will need to contact Gigabyte Tech Support online and ask them.
Maybe the Gigabyte UK forum can give you an official answer.

Will do. The only thing i can confirm and it isn`t specified on the gigabyte`s product page is that the F23 BIOS is also a uefi bios and it supports disable csm to boot into win8.

                Update

The tech support has given me a pretty standard reply and did not answer my questions regarding the f23 bios but i will underline anyway again what i have discovered in personal testing with the gb-p67x board.

Altough the gigabyte page does not mention but the F23 Bios for Gigabyte GTX 660 OC Windforce has FULL UEFI features(fast boot, ultra fast boot, csm disabled)

Also the clock speed is 1033 and not 1032
