Re: GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD3 Phase LED and no bootup

I have seen a lot of other posts about Gigabyte mobo's and the Phase leds green, green, amber and red with no bootup. My pc was running for a few years with the GA-Z68XP-UD3. I did not make any changes, did not move my pc etc. I came home one day and my pc was off then would not boot. When I hit the power on switch the power supply will kick on for a split second and shut off. I tested the power supply and it passed. The power supply is an OCZ 700 Watt. I ordered a new mobo, same one, installed and had the same problem. I have disconnected everything and still can't power on. The only thing I can say is my UPS had a red light on it indicating a problem. I shut off the UPS and turned back on. The red light was gone and only the green light was on. I have plugged in my pc to an outlet instead of the UPS and same thing... Any success stories out there with this problem?

Do you have a case speaker connected to your motherboard?
We need much more detailed information in your PC Specs.

Check out the following posts for troubleshooting suggestions use the minimalist hardware approach with your motherboard outside of the computer case.

Re: GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD3 Phase LED and no bootup

I just joined the forum today so that is the reason for a lack of specs. My system was running for years and everything was solid. I have tried powering up with everything disconnected exept for the minimum and no luck. My next attempt I will remove the mobo from the case and try power on outside the box. I do have a case speaker but disconnected that for the troubleshooting.
