Fans RPM slows down when PC is under load?

Hi all,

When I run a stress test or even surf the Internet, when my PC is under load my case fans RPM drops and so does the PSU fan?

I know my processor sits at 1.6Ghz and then goes to 3.8Ghz on demand but should both my case fans and PSU fans slow down? It's only slightly but enough to take notice of and actually hear them,

PSU fan speed depends on the temperature inside unit. Implementation depends on the manufacturer: from simple thermistor, thermal sensor and controller to additional pcb.

High PC load -> more load on PSU -> the higher the temperature -> faster fan spins.
