Been having a horrid problem.. I have 8G of 2133 G.Skill ram, running Fine, full speed, no issues at 4.8G on a 2600K (F11a Bios).. Bought 16GB to replace the 8GB , 2133. The 16GB (2x8) refuses to run over 1600Mhz. Can (or will if ya think) this be corrected on a future bios update? Perhaps the UEFI if it ever comes out for this board, which i believe was their top of the line Z68?
Appreciate the responses.
Thanks.
FYI what the MB does, is when i set the XMP to profile 1 or 2, or set the timing manually.. As soon as i save the Bios F10, it shuts down.. Turns back on.. Shuts Down.. Turns back on and tells me my OC has failed.. (Kinda like the Loop i know of that i read about).. But it does NOT do this when its set to 1600 (or my 8GB is in and its set to 2133 with XMP Enabled)..
I have a great guy on the Gskill forums helping me, but its not the ram.. I have tried 2 Dif 16GB Kits in 4 days.. Every config u can imagine.
