  • Quick question on H67 chipset regarding memory

I have Gigabyte GA-H67MA-UD2H-B3 (rev. 1.1), BIOS F8, Stock settings.

Of course H67 chipset can't run at 1600MHz and the manual indicates support for PC3-10600/1333MHz max....

But if I drop in a PC3-12800/1600MHz module; will it work ?

Question is in relation to this thread: http://forums.tweaktown.com/memory/4...ds-needed.html ***But this question specifically addresses Gigabyte's H67 capabilities / implementation / BIOS.

It should work at 1333mhz,I can't see why 1600mhz isn't supported? Unless its locked out in the bios, older h55 could support 1600mhz upwards

Re: Quick question on H67 chipset regarding memory

There's only support for 66.6, 100 and 133.3 ram mutiplers in my BIOS. Perhaps, if I had an IvyBridge CPU, 166.6 would be available?

Anyway; Dropped in 2 x DDR3 1600 MHz modules to compliment my existing DDR3 1333 MHz ram.
...All four modules working good @1333 MHz 9-9-9-24-2T.

      Confirmed Stable Spec:
