  • GA-M68MT-S2 (rev. 3.1) BIOS Update?

Hi. I have a question that hopefully someone can answer.

In June I saw my Motherboard:GA-M68MT-S2 (rev. 3.1) had a BIOS update: FC (Current BIOS is FB).

I'm wondering if anyone has a changelog for the BIOS update?

The reason I ask is there is an issue with Bulldozer CPUs and some Motherboards with Valve games such as Deus Ex: Human Evolution and as I recently discovered Portal 2. Basically anyone effected would get a number of different issues. I got horrible performance on Deus Ex a max of 10FPS in game and on Portal 2 I got a lot of different issues, the person who posted about this on a different forum also made a temporary fix and it works but you have to run the program on every reboot which can get annoying. You can check the thread out HERE.

So I need to know if this issue has been addressed by Gigabyte in the new BIOS update before I risk trying to flash it.

Which VGA card you installed? 3D games depends on your VGA card

I'm using a Radeon HD 6670, it's low end but it gets the job done.

But the issue has nothing to do with any GPU.

Well instead of asking again I suppose I'll see if anyone has figured this out yet?

From Gigabytes website... FB - Update CPU AGESA 0.0.9.2 for AM3+

FC - Update CPU AGESA 1.2.0.2

Now what that means I have no Idea!

            Me too. lol

But I went ahead and updated the BIOS with Q-Flash and from what I can tell they *may* have put the fix for Valve CEG games and FX CPUs in, the games are certainly playing better instead of 5-10 FPS in the Deus Ex: Human Revolution main menu I now get 60FPS.(VSync)

But I do have a micro stutter in game for some reason, that could just be the game though I've had a few issues with random stuttering before though, also Counter-Strike: Global Offensive seems to be playing properly as well, have yet to try Portal 2 though.
