    hello to every one,i have this mobo about 4 months and today i find out that feature (llc) ,i put llc to extreme and i managed to reduce the vdrop, so then i lowered cpu voltage from 1.380 to 1.350 to 4.4 GHz and finally i managed to achive stability with much lower vcore,i think this it wonderfull!!!!
    i want to ask ,putting llc to extreme is it something dangerous? why is that setting exists??

    But are you still getting the idle voltage to drop with LLC set to Extreme? Usually the Extreme setting people use for extreme overclocks. Nothing wrong with a little vdroop, especially if you're using LLC.

      i dont know what is idle but now i use lower vcore (1.350 than 1.380) and with 100% load now vcore goes to 1.344 than 1.320 ,i have no stability problems checked with prime 95,my question is why that setting exists? when this setting can be usefull?

              i insist on that question, where this LLC setting can be usefull? i can not uderstand why on heavy load some one want to have a vcore drop, this could cause a BSOD if i am thinking right.

                Vdroop is an intentional Intel design.
                AnandTech - Overclocking Intel's New 45nm QX9650: The Rules Have Changed, pages 5 - 6 is the best explanation I've found.
                "Too much" vdroop can lead to instability with a highly overclocked system.
                Too little vdroop leads to cpu electrical voltage overshoot beyond the design specifications.

                  wow man you are unbelievable this is the best explanation that i could find!!!!!!
                  so you sugest not the extreme setting? something in the middle? i dont want to damage my cpu!!!

                    With a higher cpu vcore setting, LLC might not be needed for a stable system.
                    Enabling LLC can let you use a somewhat lower vcore setting.
                    If needed, it's probably best to use the lowest LLC setting where your system is stable.
                    Using a higher LLC setting will probably shorten the life of your cpu, but overclocking the cpu also puts more wear and tear on your cpu.
                    Some have theorized that higher LLC settings can cause random BSOD's at idle, even though the system passes extended stress tests with no problems.

                    All well made components should have a designed in fudge factor that allows for occasional cases where the design specifications are exceeded by a "reasonable" amount.

                      one last question, what setting do you think guys is best, 1.380 vcore with LLC in auto or 1.350 with LLC to turbo mode? in these two cases i have test the system and i have full stability at 4.4 GHz

                        As long as the cpu core temperatures are OK while stress testing, my preference would be to use the slightly higher cpu Vcore with LLC = AUTO.
                        You should be OK with either approach.
