You can use PCIE 3.0 cards in that board, but they will run at PCIE 2.0
As for BIOS update to enable PCIE 3.0, not sure if that will happen or is even possible or not? You'll need PCIE 3.0 capable CPU too, but all of this is probably not possible due to the board being made before PCIE 3.0 so there is no 3.0 switches on the board.
