      Stasio,

      Regarding GA-Z77X-UD5H (Rev.1.0)- F15r-mod5 :

      Should I:
      1. First update the BIOS to F15r Mod5 and adjust all settings to my liking.
      2. Boot to Windows 7 normally.
      3. Run Intel ME v8.1.40.1416 Firmware update, by extracting the 7z file and running flash.bat ??

      Thanks in advance.

In this order, but you have to run flash.bat in command line with administrator rights.

            Yes....reboot and you are done.
After reboot I usually save BIOS to my USB.
