      Hi

Could anyone supply and updated BIOS for a Gigabyte EP45-UD3R (V1.0) board, to support 3TB drives, with updated LAN/RAID/Jmicron SATA controller if possible?

Would attempt myself, but can't find the ORom that matches my Device ID (3A22)

      Thanks!

Bit of a coincidence this but I also would be very grateful if someone could supply a BIOS modified with the latest updates for my (Old but rock solid) Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P (Rev 1.0) for support of 3TB drives in AHCI mode formatted as GUID Partition Table (I use Mac OS X Mountain Lion as an OS these days).

I currently use the Beta BIOS F11d so if that could be used as a base it would be great.

Link to BIOS F11d from above...

A quick web search found Gigabyte GA-N680SLI-DQ6 & Areca 1230
                        with a link to http://forum.giga-byte.nl/upload/files/N680SDQ6-F5g.rar
Use it at your own risk.

The bios versions are significantly different for the 1.0 and 2.0 motherboards.
If you can enter your bios, you should be able to boot from the backup bios as I have with my N650SLI-DS4 system.
Create a new thread in the Gigabyte forum if you have more questions or want additional help.

Hi, I'm looking for some modding help please....I have a Gigabyte GA-H57M-USB3 board (F9 BIOS) for which I've just bought 2x 3TB drives and now want to RAID them - because the Intel OROM is so out-of-date they only show as 765GB and won't RAID 1 properly (the RAID utility creates a pair, but then in the OS they're separate still), so I need to mod the BIOS to include a later OROM which supports 3TB drives properly.... I've done this myself on my other PC (ASUS P8Z68) with MMTool, but when I try CBROM32 1.98 I don't get the list of modules to then do the replace - from what I can read so far there are sensitive modules causing this? Here's what CBROM shows...

Can anyone please help me? The lazy option (for me!) is obviously if someone could mod the F9 BIOS (http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList...7m-usb3_f9.exe) with a later Intel v11 OROM, but help on how to mod myself would be appreciated also. I've looked at the many posts for modifying AWARD BIOSes (including BIOS-Modding: How to update PCI ROM modules of an AMI/Phoenix/Award BIOS - BIOS/BIOS-Modding - Win-Lite Forum) but without the module list output from CDBROM /D I think I'm stuck!

                            Thanks :)

Unfortunately, after the install, the motherboard would fail to boot. Most common error was the 4E (at debug LED) and sometimes it stuck at 18.
I had to install a SB CPU in order to fix it. After installing and booting, the motherboard automatically restored F5 BIOS, and then I reflashed F11a (unmodded) in order to identify the 3770k.

Anyway, thanks for your time @skypy!:)

I'm really sorry to say that, but after almost a year of waiting for a stable BIOS (not even UEFI, just a stable one), I must say that GB has the most terrible support I (personally) have ever faced.
And I am totally aware of what I'm saying, without exaggerating at all.
