  • Playing the cursor shuffle in BIOS - GA-Z68XP-UD3

It's always done this, I've just put up with it. Usually somewhere in MIT when you push the down or up arrow the cursor will start cycling at 100 mph through the selections.
Then all you can do is hit the power or reset switch.

I've froze BIOSes often by pressing the cursors up/down while shifting through pages, is that what you are doing when this happens, or are you sitting on a page that's already been fully loaded for a second or two?

Did you test with other keyboards to verify it's not due to a slight incompatibly with your KB? If not, please do test, and try another USB KB, and a PS/2 one and see if you notice the same with any KB.

If you do it's a BIOS bug and you'll need to report it so they can look into fixing it.

OK. I should have done that yesterday 'cause I had a USB KB plugged in to backup the BIOS. For sure it's happening with my wireless. I don't have a PS/2 KB, though.

It's probably just an issue with the wireless, you'll need to verify, then you can send in a report with the board model, BIOS version, and full keyboard model and info and see if they can fix the issue for you.
