can you post some pics of the socket pins like i have above? just wanna see how many and how bad the bent pins are,i havnt actually used the firm for repair yet so i cant comment on their workmanship,ive just been using the board as it hasnt affected it with a mising pin,however i do have another damaged board that needs socket repair

you need to buy a spare socket from china too,ill try and find the link

ohh and anywhere near bham?

should be simple fix,does the mb boot up as it is? theres only two pins slightly bent,you wont need the whole socket replacing imo

I agree, those can be fixed fairly easily it looks like!

Just be careful and steady handed and you'll get them back into place! Use a metal tipped mechanical pencil

one of the pins is about to break off its so weak,lookslike someone else has attempted repair? idk but i think it will break off if messed with or cpu in and out a few times

if it does break off in transit or when you put cpu in dont worry it could be redundant pin,im using same board with a missing pin and it runs fine,if not then ill link you to have whole socket replaced

Just tested the board,works fine,has very early BIOS on it so would update it,left Wazza waz here in the BIOS profile to prove board works

It is my board.

got it off ebay and found it had bent pins, but thanks to wazza should be sorted now.

i wouldnt buy anything thats asus and has bent pins as they just wont repair(even if you offer to pay) and its risky self reparing,if any important pins break off which they can very easily,then your stumped,gigabyte are the only ones so far that i know will repair this damage at a cost or sometimes free,so atleast you know where you stand with them

you need a usb memory stick and put the flash utility and the latest bios onto it,then in bios use the memory stick and ezflash to update bios,i had all my flash drives filled up or i would have done this for you,just didnt have the time

@lsdme thanks but these pins are getting smaller and smaller all the time,they are much more fragile than the ones on x58/1366 socket

Ya, I agree, when I look at 2011 pins I almost can't even see them anymore, they are scary tiny!! What board was that you fixed above, 1366 or 1155?
