Re: 2TB not detected on Gigabyte P35-S3G - Help!
Will a low level format fix the bad sectors? or just mark them as bad so they arent used?
I tried burning the WD software to a bootable cd, it booted up just found, detected all 3 of my WD drives, but when I tried to test the 2TB one, it said something like it wasnt supported. I dont understand that because I double checked it and I downloaded the correct one and it clearly has WD20EARS on the list.
I was able to run the windows version of the software from windows, which is how I came to the Too Many Bad Sectors conclusion. Still safe/effective to do it that way?
If running in ACHI mode doenst give me any real advantage I will probably just leave it off, seems to boot faster without it. What does the Native Mode option do? any advantages?
