    GA-A75M-UD2H High Motherboard temp 85c idle

    I put together a computer with the GA-A75M-UD2H mboard and an A8-3850. The computer runs great, however after running SIW I noticed an odd high temp reading from TMPIN1 - ~85c at idle and up to 102 in an open case (sides were removed) The chipset was hot to the touch, the cpu was cool. I saw in a Newegg comment that the southbridge ran hot, but these temps seem too high. Is this ok? Or do I have a defective board? Thanks for the help.

    It shouldn't be that hot imo,maybe 50-60c,have you tried other software like aida? Or black box(freeware)? It could be a software bug so you need to try other programs,if they all read 85c then you know its hardware related

      Thinking it was a bad board I took it back and got a replacement. The 2nd board shows the same high temp issue on SIW and and HMonitor, but in BIOS I don't see those high readings. I'll assume it's a "feature" of the a75 chipset. I'm not sure what else to do.

        still could be a software issue,it wont be as high in the bios because cpu and nb/sb isnt working as hard to heat up,i would wait a while to see if software updates fix it,its always the case with new platforms,try and google around to see if anyone else are having high temps

          First of all use GB utilities like EasyTune, they know the best what and how to read, they are also those who will RMA our board if it breaks.

            Thanks for the tip. EasyTune doesn't see the high temp so I'm not going to sweat it. Plays BF3 with the integrated graphics great. This screenshot was taken after playing BF3 for about 20 mins.

              CPU show 15c cores temp and 13c in ET6, I cannot see how could that be unless ambiant is much lower.

                i have the same problem.cpu 19c hdd 39 (wd Black caviar ) board 42c.what have you done?
