I recently had a problem with one of my GTX 570' I had two in SLI. and returned it to the store for warranty repair. After a month of waiting the shop was kind enough to replace it with a new card from stock. However on taking this card home and installing it the fans ran at 70% or about 4000 rpm at idle with temps of only 30 C. I was using the very latest NVIDA drivers so I returned the card again to the store. The store checked my claim and sure enough as soon as the drivers were installed the fans ran wild. Interesting to not that before the drivers were installed and only windows drivers were used the fans were running at normal speed. The store then checked all there other stock of the same card and they were all the same. Again interesting the other 570 that I had ran fine with the same drivers.
Is there a bad batch of GTX570's out there?
