  • How to disable HT GA-MA790GP-UD4H

Hello my name is Guy. Thank you for accepting my registration.
I have been searching for answers but not have been successful. My info:
    Radeon HD 5750 1GB
    AMD Phenom(tm) 9750 Quad-Core
    4GB RAM
    mobo: GA-MA790GP-UD4H
    WIN7 64
    500GB HDD
In my BIOS under MB Intelligent Tweaker(M.I.T) I dont have a setting to disable HT, only for voltage setts. What am i missing or not looking in the right area?
I am a gamer and I want to see if I disable HT to see if I get a performance increase with HT off or not. Thank you.

Hyper-Threading on AMD CPUs? Never heard of it.
They have Hyper-Transport but that's a totaly different thing.

Thanks for reply. I am getting the two confused. Is Hyper Transport needed for gaming? I am looking for as much better performance tweaks just to keep my low end PC in optimal playability.
any tips are most welcome. Thanks for your time... "Guy"

HT is needed always nor it can be disabled.
I wouldn't call your setup low end.

Thank you Chike. Briefly, I have slowly becoming a bit more comfortable tweaking my BIOS and components, I must be doing ok as I havnt broke my PC "yet". So that is why I have registered here at Tweak Town to learn how to optimise my machine safely and the correct procedures.
BTW I built my PC from case up, she is my 3rd home built platform, unfortunately money is a high performance limiting factor, lol.
In closing Thank you so much for your time and answers. I will begin to explore the forums so not to post or ask the obvious. Thanks again and have a great day. "Guy"

Is that what your ram supposed to be running at? DDR-800 6-6-618 timings?

                      No time was wasted.
Please attach a CPU-Z text report (CPU-Z -> About tab -> Sace Report (.TXT)) and post memory model/part# if you know it.

OK then they do tun at their spec frequency/timings.

In your opinion, are my parameters set at peak performance for my hardware?

For their default spec they probably are.
