Can you attach a CPU-Z text repot(About tab, Save Report (.TXT))?
Seems to me you are chashing the wind. Doesn't seem possible that a channel controller will run different DIMMs in different frequency.
Interesting read, I'll be curious to see how Wazza makes out with with all slots filled.

I should be able to OC a little higher, and they should be a little more stable.
It would have been good to figure this one out though,if just for the challenge.
Cheers

Interesting stuff. Once I receive my new 6 gb of ram I will post here and let you know what happens. I am running cpuz and will check what shows up, should be interesting.
Thanks Wazza for checking that ram on your system, so much for that little article I posted ---

This is not a boast but mearly to let people know what can be achived. I am running 24GB at 1780MHZ with Qpi/vtt set to 1.395. I have two seperate of CMT12GX3MA2000C9 but the same type of sets. The timing on a single set at 2000 MHZ should be 9,10,9,27. However I have had to leave the timings on Auto to make it work which lowers the timings to 10,12,12,31.

Just installed my additional 6 gb of 1600 DDR3 1600mhz to my existing 6 gof memory as per Fawlty. CPU-Z ver 1.56 recognizes this all as 1600 mhz DDR3. I am using the memory you see in my signiature. Only problem I have found is that initial start
after installing this caused a blue screen error ( 0x00000034 Cache_Manager ), qpi/vtt was adjusted to 1.415. Rebooted and all ran fine with qpi/vtt set at 1.315, Prime 95 for only 30 mins to check stability and all fine. Weird ! Well, I took the new sticks out and restarted, it was kinda slow but started with no blue screen, and so I reinstalled the new sticks and again got a blue screen, this time (0X000000C2 Bad_Pool_Caller),again qpi/vtt was still 1.315. Well, I restarted all ran fine,no blue screens, ran Prime 95 again and no
issues. Did several more restarts with these settings and all has been well. I guess time will tell about stability--hope it is ok !! For my simple mind,it appears that the new additional memory sort of confuses the pc at initial start with my overclocked settings, however after a reboot all is stable--I hope !!!
Thanks again Wazza for your advice and you also Fawlty for inquiring about this . --Robby--
