Re: GA-EP45-DS3R and Core 2 Quad Q8200
Update maybe I overlooked something simple to cause this latest problem. I try to start up and the pc beeps while starting and then reboots. I believe I had an overclock going, but it was not that bad. I did also swap out memory to another machine for 3DMARK testing then back to this machine, but I dont see how that could mess things up at all.
I think the video card may have died? Tried to clear the BIOS settings to no avail. EDIT: I am going to pull out the Video card and see if beeping continues...also bought some canned air to clean any contacts that I come across.
Update to this post: Last night I removed the video card and the machine stayed on-no beeps. Then I installed a PCI video card and booted to a solid BEEEEEEEPPPPPPP. This time I try moving RAM to other yellow slot and restart to SAFE MODE. I am able to get to the BIOS then I notice the Red Box alert about incorrect settings causing Reboots. I adjusted certain settings and then reboot to windows. I may need to clear the CMOS(BIOS) and reset everything. I will update BIOS setting sometime later today(after church). everything works now except for the Sound card acts like it needs drivers to be reinstalled?? All software is installed and I can get it to work but then it stops working which is strange. The device manager pops up and asks if I want to install drivers? It was working stable before this event. It is the PCI sound card from "Creative SB X-Fi Extreme Gamer Fatal1ty Pro" (where do they get these names?) I will try googling about this problem later as well....Later Dudes :)
Update to post Sound card went bad and now I am using Onboard sound. I am posting a Memset picture for reference and more if I have time.
