  • GA-P55-USB3 & Boston Acoustics Digital Mediatheater Digital output problem

Have just got a Boston Acoustics Digital Mediatheater speaker system for 25$ on Craigslist (either never out of the box or someone did a damn good job of repacking). Works fine in analog mode but not getting anything in digital. I know this was sold by Dell and intended for use with a Creative Labs sound card Digital out in 1999

Any way if anyone has any ideas on how to make this work digitally let me know

GA-P55-USB3 has a Realtek ALC892 and the speaker has only a COAX connector (mobo Opt & Coax)

    Awesome sound BTW

I'm not an audio buff, so you will need to wait for others to chime in on this for a real answer :)

Do you have the latest Realtek drivers installed, if not get them here, then you should be able to choose sound output either in that control panel or windows sounds.
    Realtek

You'll also want to be sure the BIOS Azalia setting it set to enabled.

Haha, well at least it's working now, nice to hear!

Ya, maybe it was loose? Glad you got it fixed, audio issues are always very hard to troubleshoot, especially for me since I just use onboard and cheap speakers :)
