  • Q-Flash problem saving BIOS to drive

    hi, i have a MA770-UD3 rev. 2.1 BIOS FKb and a 2GB Kingston DataTraveller.
my problem is that everytime i try at qflash to save bios to (usb pen)drive, the saved bios is a different file (MD5) from the original bios!!
is it normal? try by yourself!!

in an older pc, at qflash the saved bios (on floppy this time) is identical (same MD5) to the original bios.

    enlighten me please!!!

Re: Q-Flash problem saving BIOS to drive

hi again, i will try to explain it better:
in my recent Gigabyte motherboard MA770-UD3, when i use 'save bios to drive' in qflash menu, the copy of the bios is different from the bios itself! i say that because their MD5's dont match!!
i also checked out that saving bios to an usb drive or to a floppy brings to the same result...
may anyone else confirm this fact?
    thanks

Re: Q-Flash problem saving BIOS to drive

When you use Qflash to save your bios, it saves your current settings and any saved bios profiles.
This is why the MD5 hash values differ from the downloaded "standard" bios file.
I have used Qflash to successfully restore my saved bios and profiles many times.
